About BFW LLC
Best Florida Water
Water treatment designed around your water source, your property and the way you use water every day.
Our approach
Start with the water, not the equipment
BFW LLC — Best Florida Water — helps South Florida households and businesses choose water treatment based on what is coming from their own taps. A private well and a municipal supply can produce very different problems. Even neighboring properties may notice different tastes, stains or scale. That is why we begin with a conversation about your water source and the symptoms you see, followed by an on-site water test before discussing equipment.
Some customers come to us because the shower leaves their skin feeling dry. Others see white buildup on faucets, orange stains in sinks, a sulfur smell from a well, or a chemical taste in city water. A business may need reliable water for its kitchen equipment or guest facilities. These concerns do not all call for the same filter. Our work is to identify the problem, explain what each type of system is intended to address and recommend a setup suited to the property.
Our materials cover whole-home catalytic carbon and KDF-55 filtration, Clack® control-valve systems, water softeners, reverse osmosis drinking-water systems, well-water iron and sulfur treatment and UV disinfection. BFW LLC provides water treatment sales and installation; we do not advertise repair services. Tell us about your water to start with an on-site test.

A practical process
What happens before installation
We begin by asking whether your property receives city water or draws from a private well. We also ask what you have noticed: a taste, an odor, staining, hardness, or a change in how your water behaves. The number of people using water, the number of bathrooms and where equipment can be installed all matter when planning a system. A system for drinking water at one sink serves a different purpose from equipment placed where water enters the building.
The on-site test provides a starting point for the recommendation. Depending on the water source and the issue, we may discuss hardness, disinfectant, pH or other relevant indicators. For well water, iron, sulfur, manganese and tannins can each lead to different treatment decisions. Testing and discussing the results helps us avoid assuming that one product is right for every address. It also gives you a chance to ask what a proposed system does, what it does not do and what upkeep it may require.
After reviewing the water and the property, we explain the options and provide a quote for the equipment and installation being proposed. Some properties may benefit from a single point-of-use drinking-water system; others call for multiple stages. We can discuss flexible financing when you request a quote. Availability, eligibility and terms are determined with the applicable offer, not promised by this page. If you decide to move forward, installation is planned around the selected system and the space available at your property.
Water source matters
Two water sources. Different decisions.
City water in South Florida
Municipal water is treated before it reaches a home or business, yet people may still notice the taste or odor of chlorine or chloramine. Hardness may leave scale on shower glass and fixtures. For these situations, we consider whole-home filtration using catalytic carbon and KDF-55, sometimes paired with softening where hardness is also a concern. Catalytic carbon is selected when more challenging compounds such as chloramine call for targeted media and sufficient contact time. A properly chosen system treats water before it reaches showers, laundry and kitchen taps.
For drinking and cooking water, a separate under-sink reverse osmosis system can provide another level of treatment. The systems described in our brochures include an alkaline remineralization stage. Rather than assume every household needs all of these stages, we explain which concern each one addresses. Explore city water treatment for more detail.
Private wells
A well owner is responsible for water that has not passed through a municipal treatment plant. Well water may bring iron staining, sulfur odor, manganese, tannins or hardness. These are distinct issues, so the proposed sequence of equipment depends on the water test. The iron, sulfur and manganese breaker described in our materials uses oxidation and filtration rather than a continuous chemical feed. Where hardness is present, a softener may follow; tannin concerns may call for their own treatment stage.
UV disinfection is another option for properties where microbiological treatment is appropriate. UV uses light, not a chemical additive, and a whole-home installation can treat incoming hot and cold water. It requires lamp replacement on a regular schedule to keep operating as intended. A well-water plan needs to account for flow demand, equipment location and ongoing care as well as the initial water results. Explore well water treatment for more detail.

Products with a purpose
How the treatment stages fit together
A whole-home filter and an under-sink filter are not interchangeable. A whole-home carbon system is located near the water entry point to address water used throughout the property. Catalytic carbon helps with chlorine and chloramine concerns, while KDF-55 is a copper-zinc medium used in combined systems. A Clack® in-and-out head with bypass is one configuration for a non-backwashing tank; the bypass can isolate the tank when needed. Other arrangements use a control valve for backwashing or regeneration.
A softener addresses hardness through ion exchange, helping with mineral scale and spotting. Clack® WS1-based systems can use metered regeneration so the cycle responds to water use. Reverse osmosis is generally a drinking-water choice for the kitchen rather than a substitute for every whole-home treatment stage. UV adds a different function: disinfection through light as water passes the lamp. Equipment selection depends on the water being treated and the flow required, not just on the name of a product.
We make the available product information easy to compare. On our Products page, you can review the systems and download the accompanying product PDFs. These documents help you understand the components before a conversation; your final proposal should describe the particular equipment recommended for your property. Who we serve
Homes and businesses across the area
BFW LLC works with residential and commercial customers in the Miami area and across South Florida, including the communities listed in our service-area links. The goal is the same whether you are treating water for a family home or evaluating water for a business: understand the source, identify the concern and size the treatment to actual use. A household may focus on shower water, laundry and kitchen taste; a business may be thinking about fixtures, appliances or water served to customers.
There is no universal South Florida water profile. A property connected to a utility faces different decisions from a property supplied by a private well. Water use also varies from building to building. For that reason, our pages discuss services, water sources and products separately, so you can understand the possibilities without mistaking a general description for a diagnosis of your own water. When you contact us, let us know your location, water source and the symptoms you want to address.
We can communicate in English or Spanish. The free water test and consultation are an opportunity to review your concerns, compare treatment approaches and ask about installation and product care. We want you to understand why each proposed stage is there. If a product requires salt, periodic filter changes, media checks or an annual UV lamp replacement, that should be part of the conversation before you decide.
